The volunteer started tracking down lost puppies in 2018, after her father gifted her a drone and told her a local dog was missing, setting off a successful search for the schnauzer. These days, she can usually find a dog that got lost in a field within a day, though her longest rescue effort took 12 days. Hart has even helped people on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. “I have seen large, 6-foot men burst into tears; it is price- less to see their faces,” Hart said. THE WEEK February 23, 2024
