Beautiful day for in . Where I leaned I have a palmaris longus, from Prof Claire Smith's session on "your body is NOT a textbook example" (how true that is).

View onto the square on the Brighton seafront where soapbox science is held. Three boxes visible, where a piece of science is being discussed at each one with a small crowd around. Blue skies, and fluffy white clouds.

Prof Smith on the soapbox, wearing a costume illustrating human anatomy. She told us the arms have been sewn on the wrong sides. There is a whiteboard showing a tally of who in the audience does and does not have a Palmaris longus muscle in the wrist: 10 do, 6 don’t. In the foreground an attractive black and white terrier sits, being a good girl.
