My take away from @Goul's post is: you don't need solar for it to make a lot of sense to have a home battery? (Solar being a bonus or possibly “profit centre” 🤪)
We time-shift home devices onto a mains timer on that tariff, but going all in on the home battery sounds a lot smarter.
