Looks tricky, but worth a go.

“In terms of standards, it would bring politicians more into line with what is expected from other professions, such as lawyers and doctors. Of course, members of these professions aren’t criminalised unless they explicitly break the law, but they are held to account if they fail to maintain certain standards and can be struck off as a result.”

Uk general election

Is there a good estimate of when constituencies announce their results? I’ve found the timings from last year, which is probably as good as it gets?

I can’t see myself making it to the 03:00 and later results, so probably just 10pm for me and out.

Surprising myself: I’m hitting refresh on the news page for the Michael Mosley search.

Good start to the week: saw a up a tree.

Mostly heard the alarm call of birds, then saw a fox prowling along a branch.

A grainy close up of a tree branch and green leaves, with a fox’s head poking out.

Beautiful day for in . Where I leaned I have a palmaris longus, from Prof Claire Smith's session on "your body is NOT a textbook example" (how true that is).

View onto the square on the Brighton seafront where soapbox science is held. Three boxes visible, where a piece of science is being discussed at each one with a small crowd around. Blue skies, and fluffy white clouds.

Prof Smith on the soapbox, wearing a costume illustrating human anatomy. She told us the arms have been sewn on the wrong sides. There is a whiteboard showing a tally of who in the audience does and does not have a Palmaris longus muscle in the wrist: 10 do, 6 don’t. In the foreground an attractive black and white terrier sits, being a good girl.

I’m not sure how long it’s been there for, but I’ve only recently noticed the lovely map of at the train station.

A map of Brighton, unusually looking from the east (bottom) to the west (top). It has a hand drawn aesthetic, but is incredibly detailed

“The Metropolitan Police say that around one in every 33,000 people who walk by its cameras is misidentified.
But the error count is much higher once someone is actually flagged. One in 40 alerts so far this year has been a false positive.”
