Co-op games I’ve been playing

I’ve been playing some two-player games with a friend: in the room, on the same screen, either Xbox or PS5.

The highlights for fun and playability:

  • Sackboy (musical, joyful!)
  • It Takes Two (long, fun, emotional)
  • LEGO Horizon Adventures (we tried a LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga co-op and it just wasn’t the gameplay we were looking for, but this one is fun — didn’t get far into in but will return to it)
  • Unravel Two (cute gameplay, problem solving on a 2D progression from left to right mainly so far)
  • DYSMANTLE (long, complicated in a good way; can be progressed by a single player too)
  • Untitled Goose Game (joy joy joy!)
  • A Way Out (short, but fun)
  • Timesplitters: Future Perfect (fun, frustrating in lack of save points; a re-play from way back)

What we like is the co-operative nature: not wandering off as individual characters, but mostly both active on the same problem.
