Co-op games I’ve been playing
I’ve been playing some two-player games with a friend: in the room, on the same screen, either Xbox or PS5.
The highlights for fun and playability:
- Sackboy (musical, joyful!)
- It Takes Two (long, fun, emotional)
- LEGO Horizon Adventures (we tried a LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga co-op and it just wasn’t the gameplay we were looking for, but this one is fun — didn’t get far into in but will return to it)
- Unravel Two (cute gameplay, problem solving on a 2D progression from left to right mainly so far)
- DYSMANTLE (long, complicated in a good way; can be progressed by a single player too)
- Untitled Goose Game (joy joy joy!)
- A Way Out (short, but fun)
- Timesplitters: Future Perfect (fun, frustrating in lack of save points; a re-play from way back)
What we like is the co-operative nature: not wandering off as individual characters, but mostly both active on the same problem.
