Randomised controlled trials and agent-based modelling

Agent-based modelling (ABM) is something I want to learn more about. Potentially, having a model of a population helps you explore a situation (condition, treatment) faster and with a better chance of success, than an RCT alone.

So, mainly as a placeholder for myself, this is a helpful paper: Making evidence go further: Advancing synergy between agent-based modeling and randomized control trials, Hammond & Barkin (2024), PNAS, 121 (21)
