Wandering around the KQ

I was early for a meeting in London last Friday, so wandered around. Having not lived there for a couple of decades, I see the place with tourist eyes. Oh, the history! It's pretty good to switch into this mode now and then.

I was south of King's Cross, in an area full of bio/med and history. It's branded itself as The Knowledge Quarter (KQ). I think everyone else calls it Bloomsbury.

I could have stayed in the tiny Brunswick Square Gardens for a while, but I didn't quite have enough time for that. The garden contains the "second oldest plane tree in central London": apparently there are Ten Great Trees of London, and this is one of them.
Just across the road is a building with the old and the modern:
Thinking back now, I've also explored this area when I visited Hello Brain! at The Crick and on a different occasion visited The Wellcome Collection.

It's good to wander about, and maybe I should also plan a visit sometime.
